Deliveries and Returns

Delivery Policy and Charges

  • A delivery fee will be charged for each delivery order placed by the client. Deliveries will take place from Monday to Saturday, 08h00 till 17h00, excluding Sundays and South African public holidays. Items will be delivered between 3 (three) and 5 (five) working days within a 50km radius of Johannesburg subject to unexpected delays. Deliveries to outlying areas will attract an additional surcharge that will be calculated on checkout. In the event of unavoidable delays that will result in delivery times being exceeded, a client will be notified via email or telephonically.
  • Deliveries will only be made to those delivery addresses as set up in the registration process and no exception to that policy will be made. Please ensure that an authorized representative is available to accept deliveries at the delivery address and that appropriate access will be possible in the event of a secure access controlled location or security estate. Simply School will require an authorized representative to sign and print their name on a duplicate copy of the delivery note, to accept receipt and conditions of delivery. Please note that all deliveries have been outsourced and accordingly, Simply School cannot, to the extent as permitted by law, be liable for any damages suffered or loss incurred by reasons of any acts or omission of the courier.
  • Simply School cannot guarantee availability of stock but will endeavor to source stock where possible to fulfill orders. Where items cannot be delivered, Simply School will endeavor to contact the customer based on the information provided at registration and offer either the option to cancel the order or provide an alternative product if applicable. If Simply School is unable to supply each and every item ordered or in the quantities ordered and cannot contact the customer, the customer nevertheless agrees to accept delivery and make payment for the items correctly delivered.
  • Delivery of the ordered product will constitute acceptance of your order and serve as proof of payment by Simply School, irrespective of any payment confirmation that was previously communicated.

Pick-up or Collection

  • Orders can be placed online and collected from the physical store if preferred. To collect products, place an order online as normal, but select the “store collection” option instead of confirming delivery details. This will ensure that no delivery fee will be charged. A valid proof of identity (SA ID or SA driver’s license) is required and a copy of the collection note is to be presented when collecting.

Refund & Exchange Policy

  • Key to the service offered via this online store is for clients to be happy with their purchases, and if not completely satisfied, products can be returned to either be repaired (where applicable), replaced, or a credit passed on the account, subject to terms and conditions as set out herein. This Policy applies to products bought from Simply School itself and from third-party sellers.
  • This Policy forms part of the Simply School.co.za Terms and Conditions – words defined in the Terms and Conditions have the same meaning in this Policy unless the context indicates otherwise. This service and associated policies are not intended to limit your statutory rights in any way.

Returns

  • In order to expedite the return a client must please comply with the following when returning products;
    • products to be safely and securely packaged for protection during transit;
    • products must be returned in original packaging with labels;
    • the return reference number to be clearly marked on the outside of the parcel; and
    • all accessories and parts that were sold with the product to be included in the parcel.
  • Failure to adhere to any the above could delay the processing of the request or result in its decline altogether.

Exchanges

  • If for any reason you are unhappy with the purchased product(s), especially for incorrect size, we will gladly provide an exchange service, providing that such variation is available. We will arrange the return of the product from you at a pre-determined collection rate and deliver the replacement product to you at no charge. Like, will be replaced for like. If such variation is not available, we will pass an in-store credit to your account with the purchase price of the product within 14 days of the return. We are entitled to inspect the product to validate your return. Please refer to our FAQs for some advice on making sure that your product is returnable under this section.
  • Where you have changed your mind and would like a credit for a product, you can return it in original packaging with labels – provided the product is not:
    • special order item with future shipping days of over 7 working days; normal cancellations are not accepted; forced cancellations will incur a 15% restocking charge;
    • all clearance items;
    • a product that has been personalized for you or made to your specifications.
  • We will arrange the return of the product from you at a charge. Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will pass an in-store credit to your account with the purchase price of the product within 14 days of the return.

Incorrect delivery

  • If we accidentally deliver the wrong product to you, or if the product is not as described on the Website, please notify us and we will arrange the return of the product from you at no charge. Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will at your choice deliver the correct product to you as soon as possible (if the correct product is available); or pass an in-store credit to your account with the purchase price of the product within 14 days of the return.

Products damaged on delivery

  • Should a product be damaged or missing any parts or accessories at the time of delivery/return, please notify us within 24 hours of such delivery/return by logging a return on our Website. We will refund the reasonable courier costs of returning damaged goods via door to door courier where applicable.  We may inspect the goods to confirm that they are defective before we do so. Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will at your choice repair / replace the product as soon as possible (if such repair/replacement is possible) or pass an in-store credit to your account with the purchase price of the product and return shipping.

Defective products

  • We do our best to ensure that the products we deliver to you are of high quality and without defects that may be attributed to manufacturing or material imperfections.
  • The following will NOT be regarded as defects and will not entitle you to a return under this section:
    • faults resulting from normal wear and tear;
    • damage arising from negligence, user abuse, or incorrect usage of the product;
    • damage arising from a failure to adequately care for the product;
    • damage arising from unauthorized alterations to the product; and
    • where the specifications of a product, although accurately described on the Website and generally fit for its intended purpose, do not suit you.

Charges

  • If you return a defective product to us, but you fail to return all of the accessories and parts that were sold with that product, we are entitled (subject to applicable law) to refuse the return, only to replace the item that you did return, or to estimate the value of the missing accessories and parts and pass an in-store credit to you in respect of the returned item.
